Best Graphics & Visual Mods for Stellaris

Updated 7/14/2026

Graphics mods don’t touch numeric balance or mechanics at all — they’re a pure visual upgrade, with essentially no risk of breaking balance or game logic. Great for players who like sharing screenshots or just want more immersion.

Before you install

Graphics mods generally add some amount of VRAM/performance overhead. If you’re on lower-end hardware, understand the impact before installing — and be especially mindful of the cumulative cost if you’re stacking multiple graphics mods at once.

How this differs from QoL mods

Graphics mods only change how things look, not the UI layout or operational logic. If you care more about operational efficiency than visual presentation, check out our QoL mod recommendations instead. The two categories stack fine together with no conflicts.
