Weapons Cache
Weapons Cache is a real Stellaris reward tied to terraforming events, granting a mix of art and unity output depending on your empire's ethics and civics.
Unlike most entries in this wiki’s anomaly section, Weapons Cache isn’t something you find by surveying a system with a science ship — it’s a possible outcome tied to terraforming events, which makes it easy to miss if you’re only thinking about anomalies in the “science ship investigates a system” sense.
What determines the reward
The exact payout depends on your empire’s ethics and civics:
- Xenophobe/Fanatic Xenophobe empires (or Gestalt Consciousness empires without Empath, Rogue Servitor, or Exploration Protocols): get a boosted alloys output.
- Xenophile/Fanatic Xenophile empires (or those with Empath, Rogue Servitor, Exploration Protocols, or Fruitful Partnership): get an art specimen plus a larger unity output.
- Everyone else: still gets the art specimen and a smaller unity output.
Why this is worth knowing about
If you’re deep into a terraforming project and this event comes up, knowing which ethics/civics combination gets you the better payout can help you decide whether a particular choice earlier in the event chain is worth taking. It’s not a high-stakes decision, but it’s a nice example of how Stellaris quietly reflects your empire’s identity back in unexpected places.
(Editorial note: an earlier version of this site had a wiki entry for a fabricated anomaly called “Enigmatic Cache.” This entry replaces it with a real, verified piece of content with a similar “cache” theme, though note it’s mechanically a terraforming-event reward rather than a standalone anomaly — see this project’s fact-check log for details.)
